Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal buys two land parcels in Delhi for Rs 79 crore

The two plots are in the village of Dera Mandi in the Chhatarpur region, and both transactions were registered in Hauz Khas.

Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Zomato, paid Rs 79 crore for two 5-acre land plots in Mehrauli Tehsil in New Delhi. According to the property registration paperwork obtained by CRE Matrix, Goyal acquired the two land lots from distinct sets of owners and paid a stamp duty of Rs 5.24 crore.

On March 28, 2023, Goyal acquired 2.5 acres of land from Luxalon Building Pvt Ltd for Rs 29 crore and paid Rs 1.74 crore in stamp duty. In the second transaction, filed on September 01, 2023, Goyal acquired 2.53 acres of land from one Ravi Kapur for Rs 50 crore and paid stamp duty of Rs 3.50 crore.

According to the paperwork, the two plots are in the village of Dera Mandi in the Chhatarpur region, and both transactions were registered in Hauz Khas.

The Delhi-NCR real estate market was recently in the news when MakeMyTrip Group CEO Rajesh Magow purchased a 6,428 square feet apartment in DLF Magnolias in Gurugram for Rs 33 crore. At the same time, Genpact CHRO (Chief Human Resources Officer) Piyush Mehta purchased a 6,462 square-foot flat in the same property for Rs 32.60 crore.

Both selling deeds were executed in October 2023. Magow paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.98 crore, and Mehta paid Rs 1.95 crore.

In another transaction, Countrywide Promoters, a subsidiary of developer BPTP Group, paid Rs 87.27 crore for a 5.24-acre land in Gurugram near the Dwarka Expressway.

The selling deed was signed on November 16, 2023, and the corporation paid a stamp duty of Rs 6.11 crore.
