The 52,765-square-foot facility was recently purchased by the company for \u20b9117 crore, demonstrating its commitment to growing its market share. According to documents accessed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crematrix.com\/\">CRE Matrix<\/a>, the deal was finalized on May 6, 2024, and Avenue Supermarts Ltd paid \u20b97.03 crore in stamp duty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expansion Strategy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Avenue Supermarts&#8217; impressive market presence with a variety of properties throughout Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhatisgarh, the National Capital Region, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, and Rajasthan, is now even more powerful with this acquisition. In 2002, Avenue Supermarts Ltd. launched its flagship brand, DMart, under the leadership of Radhakishan Damani. DMart began as a single store in Powai, Mumbai, and now operates over 333 stores in various places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Investments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest acquisition of Avenue Supermarts Ltd. continues the trend of strategic real estate investment. Earlier, they purchased three levels of retail space within a 31-storey residential building in Kandivali West for \u20b988.74 crore in September 2023.
